Legacy Preservation
Every resident has a story worth honoring. That's why legacy preservation is at the heart of what we do. We take the time to get to know your loved one — their history, preferences, passions, and needs — so we can create connections that are personal and meaningful. We use detailed life stories to guide programming, communication, and daily routines that resonate with residents' identities. We preserve and honor residents' legacies by incorporating cherished memories, traditions, and milestones into daily activities and engagement opportunities.
Cognitive Engagement 
Our approach to programming for cognitive levels at each stage of dementia including Alzheimer's disease, and other memory-related diagnoses, focuses on identifying and understanding each resident's cognitive activity levels and functional abilities. We aim to create programming that challenges residents intellectually while providing the right level of support to ensure activities are neither too hard or too easy. This ensures programming is engaging and nonfail, promoting a sense of accomplishment and well-being. We leverage parallel programming to ensure that all residents regardless of their cognitive level, find opportunities for engagement and joy.
Sensory Enrichment
Engaging the five senses in memory care is a powerful approach to enhance cognitive function, evoke positive emotions, increase memory recall, and improve the overall well-being of residents. We engage the five senses in two ways. First through cognitive-centered programing by involving sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch in our cognitive enrichment programs and second, through our neighborhood design and environmental support featuring such things as soothing color schemes, memory aids, lighting optimizations, and therapeutic spaces.
Family Collaboration
Caring for your loved one is a team effort, and your voice is an essential part of the journey. Together we work to ensure the residents' happiness, care, and safety. We also want to express our understanding that family members may also need support, and we are here in many ways to help them. We can provide resources in all aspects of memory care, from knowledge to understanding, to coping and support services, and work to build a specific support system which makes them feel understood and comfortable.
Dining Experience
Dining is one of the most important parts of the day, offering more than just a meal — but a moment to connect and enjoy. Our restaurant-style dining features select choices of delicious and nutritious menu options to meet each residents' preferences. We provide attentive service with our team anticipating needs and engaging with our residents throughout the experience. Meals are served in a calming environment to encourage connection and comfort. We also offer "dining on the run" for residents who need dining flexibility. The dining experience is customized to the residents' needs and abilities, including how food is prepared and served.
Team Training
Every team member in our exclusive GLOW℠ Memory Care undergoes rigorous and continuous training in dementia care to deliver personalized services that promotes dignity, independence and understanding. Our caregivers are empowered and equipped with person-centered communication strategies, behavioral intervention techniques, and environmental modification guidance to ensure they can provide compassionate and effective care in all circumstances.
